GCCP and BrainMood Join the CoffeeSights Platform

CoffeeSights has integrated two established coffee data projects into its platform: GCCP, an out-of-home coffee-pricing project that converts periodically collected prices into a live, USD-comparable index across roughly 150 cities worldwide, and BrainMood, a coffee-to-mood-colour framework connecting coffee structure, flavour perception and mood through eight official colours. Both continue to operate as their own dedicated sites while now also surfacing directly on CoffeeSights, alongside its own market and machine intelligence — part of the platform's ongoing effort to connect different layers of the coffee industry in one place.

Global Out-of-Home Coffee Prices Rise 9.3% Since 2025 — FX Weakness Accounts for Nearly Three-Quarters of the Increase

The GCCP weighted basket reaches $3.53 USD as of April 24, 2026, up from a 2025 baseline of $3.23. The GCCI index stands at 109.28. Analysis separates real local price inflation (+2.58 pts) from FX-driven appreciation (+6.70 pts), with North America emerging as the most insulated market. All five tracked products have risen between 9% and 10% since the 2025 baseline. Europe (+14.7%) shows the sharpest regional increase, driven primarily by EUR and GBP appreciation against the USD. North America (+4.6%) registers the smallest total increase, structurally shielded from FX distortions as the region prices in USD.

CoffeeConsumerPrice.com Launches as Independent Global Benchmark for Out-of-Home Coffee Prices

CoffeeConsumerPrice.com has launched as an independent platform dedicated to tracking real out-of-home coffee prices across global cities. The platform introduces the Global Coffee Consumer Price (GCCP) benchmark and the GCCI (Global Coffee Consumer Index), covering 150 cities across 95 countries. Unlike commodity-focused coffee indexes, CoffeeConsumerPrice.com focuses exclusively on the final retail price paid by the consumer in cafés, bars, and coffee shops worldwide, expressed in USD for international comparability.
